I recently had the pleasure of staying at a tranquil hotel right on the lake shore in a beautiful Norwegian village. The setting was absolutely breathtaking, with stunning views of the lake and surrounding countryside. It truly felt like paradise in Norway! The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with any queries or requests. The basic amenities provided in the rooms, including the comfortable bunk beds, were perfect for a cozy and peaceful stay. Additionally, the hotel's location right by the lake meant that I could easily access the camping ground and enjoy outdoor activities. The breakfast offered was delicious and provided a great start to the day, ensuring that I was energized for exploring the nearby attractions.
All aspects of my stay at this hotel were just fine.

Stunning lake view. Standalone cabin, no noisy neighbors. Small cooking area for basic meals. Reasonably priced canoeing on the lake. Good location for visiting Urnes stave church. Friendly and helpful staff. Ideal for day trips to Nigardsbreen glacier. Laundry facilities on site for longer trips
Couldn't fault.

We loved staying at this peaceful and idyllic location right beside a serene lake. The hotel facilities were top-notch, including a well-equipped kitchen, indoor and outdoor playrooms, and canoes and kayaks on rent at reasonable prices. The cleanliness of the shared bathrooms and the main building was impeccable, which is always a plus. Additionally, the staff was very friendly and informative about the transportation options available to visit nearby attractions.
For us, it was ideal as we were looking for a camping-like experience with a comfy cabin.

Nestled on the shores of a picturesque lake and next to a camping ground, this place has a prime location for a tranquil getaway. the cabins offer comfortable accommodations with bunk beds and clean shared facilities. Enjoy stunning views of the lake from the comfort of your own cabin. Order a filling breakfast for the next morning and start your day with energy. Laundry facilities are available on site for your convenience.
The shared kitchen in the main building has limited space and could be crowded during peak hours.

We had an awesome stay by a beautiful lake and enjoyed renting a boat to explore the surroundings. The staff was friendly, and the location was perfect for day trips to nearby glaciers, fjords and mountains. We loved the peaceful atmosphere and the feel of camping with the comfort of a cabin. The laundry facilities on site were a plus, especially since we were on a longer trip. it’s a great place to disconnect from the city and immerse yourself in nature.
The communal kitchen was often crowded and it could get frustrating waiting to wash dishes. , the shared showers were not always the cleanest.

The setting of our cottage was absolutely stunning; we couldn't get enough of the lake view and watching the picturesque scenery around us. the proximity to local day trip destinations was perfect for us and gave us a chance to explore the area in depth. the laundry on site was an unexpected convenience, especially during a longer vacation.
The cabin we stayed in had little insulation from hot temperatures during the day, making it unpleasantly warm, but at night it cooled off a bit too much. the fact that we had to share communal bathrooms and showers wasn't ideal, with queues forming in the morning.
